How you could be inviting curses. How to sweep them away!

When you are saved in your heart, having received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, you must refrain from old habits inculcated by Satan over the whole earth. Some habits will leave you easily. For example I no longer curse since my heart was changed. I no longer feel anger (that is a spirit). But the list is long of transformations in your new life–it is a progression, working toward the image of Christ (now in us).

1) Turn off Satan’s television (except an anointed service). Even the news imparts the spirit of fear. This is one of Satan’s primary tools.

2) Turn off Satan’s radio (except a truly anointed station serving Christ).

3) Stay away from fear-mongering web sites, books, videos, audios that are devoid of God’s word and/or prayer under the the guise of Watchmen. They must balance the darkness with Jesus’ light.

4) Stop murmuring. Don’t speak about anyone unkindly, even if evil. This is a habit hard to stop because we are all so interested in each other. You can hate Satan and Satan’s actions in people. Hate the sin but not the sinner.

5) Clean your audible words. The power of life and death are on the tongue. You are the light of Jesus in the fallen world–your virtue must be audible. This means no more foul language, no more talk of perversion, no more screaming or anger in your tone. Absolutely no blaspheming–do not use Jesus’ name in vain. Especially not the Holy Spirit. There are no acceptable “sex jokes,” “Jewish jokes”, “Jesus jokes”–God will not be mocked.

6) Whatever you clean off your tongue, also clean in your thoughts. Bind it.

7) Do not curse yourself with Satan’s pronouncements on you:

“I will probably die,” “I can’t go on,” “I will fail,” “I am a loser,” “Nobody likes me,” etc… These are faithless moments and you will get what you claim.

8) Stop opening yourself to witchcraft. You will be surprised but the list is long. Witchcraft is linked to idolatry. By doing the following you open your life to the wiles of the devil. Confess these actions now, repent, that you may be blessed. Never again:

  • read the horoscopes or a printed periodical or paper that includes them–throw them out
  • play Ouija–throw it out or better, burn it if possible
  • make an oath to anyone but God–societies that demand this are evil
  • say, “Good Luck”
  • cross your fingers
  • spit to ward evil
  • knock on wood
  • attend mediums or psychics
  • get hypnotized
  • watch horror movies or
  • watch movies that distort or deny the truth in the Bible
  • attend night clubs were iniquity abounds
  • enter buildings where occult practices occur
  • trust crystals for healing and the like
  • any new age music and teachings
  • yoga or meditation (especially before altars)
  • “good luck” charms even Saints
  • fortune cookies
  • incantations of any kind
  • hexes
  • tea leaf reading…you get the idea
  • pray to anyone but Jesus for anything–that includes any man, saint or Jesus’ mother. Jesus is the Lord who can do all things–no one else.
  • the list is long here and I will add over the next days, weeks–but you can comment and add to the list.

Isn’t the devil crafty? God said he was “subtle.” Go to the word of God in the Holy Scriptures. Be still and listen to God.

9) Swipe clean your house, cottage, business and car(s) of occult objects. Yes, demons can attach themselves to objects as they wait to seek a host. Throw them out in the garbage. Do not give them or sell them to anyone.

  • wall art that features occult objects, deities or meaning
  • sculpted objects–no matter how valuable. (I found a small bronze sculpture of Shiva in my collections armoire!) Woot!
  • music that is occult–much of the 60s music and on is very occult. Lady Gaga, Madonna today are examples. There is little popular music that is acceptable.
  • movies that are filled with images of sin–murder, sex, perversion, foul language–and leave God out of the enter movie. How can a movie not include the context of all existence?
  • books along the same line
  • everything and anything that has an occult image or meaning of any size
  • any perversion such as calendars of nude or scantily clad persons
  • any drug that open the mind to hallucinations or distorts reality
  • just do a forensic sweep

Cleaning the devil’s weapons against you out of your environment removes barriers to holiness and God’s presence. There is always work to do. Confessing and repenting of all. Praising Him. I promise to write more about curses, strongholds and removing curses as I learn. And about anointing your home and places. The above is a powerful start. In the meantime, read Ephesians 6:10-12 and put on the whole armor. The entire passage is deep in meaning and instruction for protection.

You will likely find relief in your life, having cut off Satan’s access to you. God is not the author of tragedy, pain and suffering– you are, by inviting Satan’s fiery darts in your life. God loves you and wants to bless you.

I myself confess that I am due for another sweep this weekend. Movies will get thinned out. He is patient and merciful.

Jesus : Make love your primary goal

One of God’s creations

Christians tend to be so religious that they are not producing love–in themselves and toward others. All your knowledge is idle if you do not love–first in your heart, in all your thoughts. And it manifests in your works.

“I am tired of hearing the term, ‘born again’,” states Pastor Derek Prince, “fourty million Americans claim they are ‘born again’.” The equivalent number in Canada is approximately four million. This is what Peter says about the manifestation of being ‘born again’ (1 Peter 1:22-24):

Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, 23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever

Are you religious or are you born again?

Faith without love is dead

The verse in James 2:14-17 actually says “works” not love; but, they are one in the same.

14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

It is so easy to criticize–a trademark of many churches. It is easy to criticize churches, the brethren or anyone not saved. How does this represent the love of Christ?

“Any use without love is misuse,” states Prince.

And a lot of kindness is what you should give

A roadmap for your heart

Here are the Lord’s instructions regarding works in 2 Peter 1:5-9. It is empirical–a map to follow in your spiritual growth. The first stop is virtue, then knowledge, then self-control, then perseverance, then godliness, then brotherly kindness and finally the seventh and final stop, the assurance of salvation, love.

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.

The Greek word for love is ‘agape’–love for your enemies, those who persecute you, everyone.

I add Pastor Derek Prince’s prescient sermon for you to learn more deeply. It is deeply touching, especially toward the end. See, hear love uncharacteristic of most humans in action.

Even the demons believe and tremble !

The word of God is inerrant. If even the fallen angels (demons) believe the word why can’t you? Read the word in James 2:18-19 :

But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your  works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!

And in Matthew 8:28 the demons immediately recognize Jesus as Lord and power over them:

28 When He had come to the other side, to the country of the Gergesenes, there met Him two demon-possessed men, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no one could pass that way. 29 And suddenly they cried out, saying, “What have we to do with You, Jesus, You Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?”

30 Now a good way off from them there was a herd of many swine feeding. 31 So the demons begged Him, saying, “If You cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of swine.”

Believe that you may be saved.

“There’s no one like you,” he said referring to my faith

Yesterday, I aimed to help a friend who believes in Jesus Christ as his Savior; but, who sins on the hour. I know he has a spirit of perversion, a spirit who lies, and, that he has opened the door to spirits, cursing himself and his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren by visiting a median, reading horoscopes and watching horror movies frequently. He additionally curses himself by continually speaking hatefully about Jews. Even though we have been friends for years, this is the first time I opted to thoroughly reprove him. He was convicted by the look on his face but he was clearly offended. In fact, he found an excuse to avoid the fullness of my help, cutting it short. I am satisfied that a seed is planted.

My friend does not read the Bible and holds my knowledge of the word in some wonder. I have just described the typical Christian in our community and the Lord detests their lukewarm, filthy walk. Somehow I am at a point where I don’t fit in; yet, I do not seek to.

I now understand the Lord’s words, “You cannot serve two masters; you will love one and hate the other.” This is the dilemma in which we brethren find ourselves. I do not allow myself to think highly of myself–I simply think myself separate and a visitor. I visualize that Jesus is with me, watching, listening, steering and then I feel at peace. The walk can be lonely.

It is truly an otherwordly experience to walk in the world and feel like it is not home anymore.

I once told my friend, “The Lord knows all your thoughts.” “Well then I am screwed,” he said. His own conviction was very hopeful. Clearly my friend is a tortured soul (and we know by who.) It takes time and patience to bring someone to the Lord. Letting the Holy Spirit guide me is critical. It is not a conquest; it is fulfillment and my role in his life may have been decided from the beginning of time.

I know I do not war against flesh and blood; but, if he does not want to be delivered, I am not sure how I can help him other than to ask the Lord to open his heart. There is the other truth, [“a prophet not being honoured in his nation”] (I am not a prophet but this is why the disciples accomplished more abroad than in their home towns.)

“There is no one like you,” he said referring to my faith and walk. There was an insinuation that I was extreme, unique, at odds with everyone. He does not understand that I have no carnal thoughts. I am a mystery to him. Yet, he calls me often; I know it is more than a call–it is a connection to the divine, vicariously.

He does not fully understand that I am obedient and have surrendered my will to God, gladly. That the pleasures of this world have no interest to me.

Yet, I felt isolated because to some extent it is true that a faith-walk such as mine in my community is scarce; but, there are surely more than a few, some of which are cherished friends. We are each passionately seeking the Lord without any prompting by each other. Each of us have a private, unwavering faith; yet, we fellowship on occasion or frequently if we are in need.

We are in training, I believe, as end time warriors. (The Lord has told me this.) We will be the ones without fear, having the full armor and the power to war against the enemy. Believe me! I have been chastened for the task.

Many will seek us and hide behind our skirts during the dark days of war, famine and pestilence. We will bring them the word of God, bring them to the Lord, assist them in getting clean and holy. We will teach them to pray and worship the Lord. We will share the hope of His return and the truth of life eternal.

Yet, for me the thirst to learn is intense. There is so much to learn. So much to change in myself working toward this image of Jesus’ perfection. God created us in his image.

Generational Curses : in a nutshell

eBook by Glynda Linkous. Click to go to Amazon.

Glynda Linkous, Author, Revelator, Prophetess from Texas, describes curses succinctly in her e-book description for The Curse of Fear.

Is your life cursed or blessed right now? Which one sounds more like your experiences? Blessed or cursed? Most people have a combination until they learn about curses and break them.

A curse is basically the legal right for demons to afflict you or cause you harm or loss in a particular area. A generational curse is a legal right for demons to afflict you based on evil done (sins) by your forefathers that they never repented of, that you then opened the door to. You are not guilty of their sin, but the tendency to sins they didn’t repent for may fall on you, until/unless you are a believer of Jesus Christ who has the knowledge to break the curses off your life.

Have you spent your life in anxiety and worry? Are you being held back from being all you can be because you are paralyzed by fear? Do you fear being around people? Trying new things? Going new places?

I learned that she has published many e-books on curses. Here is a list:

  1. The Curse of Poverty
  2. The Curse of Anger
  3. The Curse of Perversion
  4. The Curse of Failure
  5. The Curse of Depression
  6. The Curse of Lust
  7. The Curse of Illegitimacy
  8. The Curse of Freemasonry
  9. The Curse of Innocent Blood
  10. The Curse of Divorce and Division
  11. The Curse of Barrenness
  12. And the Curse of Fear (linked from image above, which will guide you to all others)

Each download is only 93 cents. There is so much to learn. The truth has been hidden all of our lives among brethren. But not in the word. Every single word is always confirmed in the word–and God is not a liar. We are all likely under curses; but, we can break them in mere moments of faith and prayer.

There can be no healing of any kind until those curses are removed, Pastor Derek Prince teaches. Indeed, it is written.

Wonderful blog on spiritual warfare

Glynda Linkous’ site, Wings of Prophecy (shown on right), features this blog, Wings of Warfare  by another Author. I traveled to it this evening and plan to return frequently. I especially love this post:

Most of the attacks from the enemy start in the mind.  A thought is injected, if you don’t catch it, you accept it as your own and start to dwell on it.  We are supposed to take all thoughts captive.  News flash, not all thoughts that come into your brain are yours!  You should know that when God talks to you it is truth and not condemning.  For example, I was listening to a sermon one day about honoring your parents.  I thought, I have that one covered, then God said: Your mother in law is your mother by extension.  Yep, didn’t see that one coming.  After I recovered from the sting, I knew what He meant.  His correction always comes in a gentle but firm way.  He never tells you negative, hateful things about you.  Those thoughts are from the enemy.   The enemy pretends to be you and speaks as if it were your thoughts.  I promise you have experienced this before.  For example, you are in church listening to a sermon, when all of a sudden a grocery list comes to you.  You are praying and focused when all of a sudden you can’t think clearly.  Demons are very sneaky and they don’t have anything better to do than try to mess us up.  Demons have two main goals.   Their first goal is to prevent a person from coming to Christ.  If they fail in this endeavor, they then proceed to try and make that person an ineffective Christian.

Let’s look at warfare past signing up for God’s army.  Suppose we signed up for basic training then decided we wanted to sleep all day.  I don’t know how God views this, but I can tell you the military would kick you out in a heartbeat.  You can’t go fight if you haven’t gone through basic training.  We have all heard that the battlefield is in the mind.  This has become extremely apparent to me as of late.  The war that has been raging in my mind for years has been an onslaught of thoughts put in there by demons. I just didn’t realize it wasn’t me.

One day I was feeling very overwhelmed.  The enemy knew this and took the opportunity to start pounding on me.  However, I wasn’t aware at the time it was them.  I was actually arguing with myself for a good 20 minutes.  Thoughts of being helpless, having nobody to help me, telling me there was no way I could do everything.  Any of this sound familiar? I kept having the negative thoughts and I would counter with no I will be fine.  Then another, and another.   Finally, I quoted scripture.  It stopped instantly.  I was so happy I had regained my composure, I hadn’t even realized what had happened until the next day.

God spoke the whole world into being.  He showed me that when we take the word in our hearts, and then speak it out over our situation,  the same power that made the world, comes out and is applied to us.  The bible says His word does not return void.  When Jesus was in the wilderness, He only used the word to fight the devil.  You can argue with demons till you are blue in the face,  they won’t get tired.  However, they cannot argue with the word of God.  What a powerful tool  He has given us.  Everything we need to win is in the word.  Just imagine all the power behind God saying let there be light!  The same power is behind His word when we use it.  Fight with the word!  Hide the word in your hearts that you might not sin and use it against the devil so he won’t win! (emphasis mine)
